Hungary under Orban consistently diverges from EU foreign policy consensus. Orban has maintained dialogue with Iran and Russia, and positions Hungary as a 'peace' broker. While Orban has good personal ties with Netanyahu, Hungary is likely to frame its response around de-escalation and avoiding wider war rather than explicitly condemning Iran.
